Marc Scheps was the artistic adviser of Mr. Teddy Kollek, Mayor of Jerusalem; the Israeli Parliament ; the Residence of the President of the State of Israel and the Ministry of Immigration. From 1977 till 1990, he was the Director of the Tel Aviv Museum of Art, and member of the Committee of Cimam (International Council of the museums of Modern art), UNESCO.
In 1990-91 he acted as Founding Director of the Bible Lands Museum, Jerusalem. From 1991 to 1997 he was the Director of the Ludwig Museum for Modern Art, Cologne ; and member of the French-German Cultural High Council. From 1997 to 2002, he was the Director of the Ludwig Foundation (who supports over 20 museums and art institutions around the world). He was also member of the Austrian Ludwig State Foundation. From 2003 till this day, he acts as Advisor for the Janco-Dada Museum in Ein-Hod and the Agam Museum (Israel). Mr. Scheps is Trustee of the International Board of Governors of the Tel Aviv Museum of Art.
Mr. Scheps serves as Advisor to the International Activities Department at the M.T. Abraham Foundation.
